About the Book Project
Dr. Kenja McCray and Dr. Curtis L. Todd have curated more than 200 archival photographs to tell the story of Atlanta Metropolitan State College (AMSC) on the eve of the institution's 50th anniversary. The publication was released via Arcadia press's Campus History Series in August 2023. McCray and Todd mainly conducted research in AMSC's Ernestine Y. Thompson Archives and other campus offices. The pictures also provide a glimpse of the larger contexts of Metropolitan Parkway's life cycle, the city of Atlanta, and the post-World War 2 expansion of Georgia's university system.
