Title IX and Sexual Misconduct Policy
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 was the first comprehensive federal law to prohibit sex discrimination against members of educational institutions. Educational institutions that receive federal funding are required under Title IX to provide equal opportunity for all members.
Atlanta Metropolitan State College uses the term sexual misconduct to address allegations and violations of Title IX.
Atlanta Metropolitan State College follows the University System of Georgia's (USG) Sexual Misconduct Policy. For more information visit: Board of Regents Policy Manual: 6.7 Sexual Misconduct Policy
