Clayton State Lakers and Atlanta Metropolitan State College Trailblazers

The Tiger Trailblazer Program is a partnership between Savannah State University (SSU) and Atlanta Metropolitan State College (AMSC). This program provides an opportunity for students who applied to SSU and did not meet the minimum SAT/ACT scores required for traditional admission.

The Tiger Trailblazer Program allows students to take courses as an AMSC student and live on Savannah State’s campus while earning credits towards their degree. Upon completion of this one-year program, students will have the option to enroll as a transfer student at Savannah State University or to continue their degree at Atlanta Metropolitan State College.

Enrolling in this program is an agreement to be a part of a cohort of students enrolled in AMSC to attend classes instructed by AMSC faculty and live in SSU Housing.

3-Steps to Enroll

  1. Complete your AMSC Online Application

  2. Sign and return to Savannah State, the attached Participation Agreement and Release of Information (PAR) FERPA form that allows SSU to release your high school and college transcripts (if applicable) to Atlanta Metropolitan State College.

  3. Submit/update your FAFSA application (www.fafsa.gov) to Atlanta Metropolitan State using school code 012165.
