MESA Program Application/Requirements
General Membership
Membership in MESA is open to women and minorities planning to participate in the AMSC Biological Science 4-Year Program or plan transfer to a senior institution to complete their degree. MESA members follow an educational plan that is calculus-based and adheres to the MESA contract.
Program of Study Requirements
To qualify for MESA membership, Atlanta Metropolitan College students must major in one of the following areas:
Biology
Chemistry
Computer Information Systems
Computer Science
Mathematics
Physics
Pre-Engineering
Pre-Engineering Technology
GPA Requirements
MESA Program participants must have at least a 2.5 GPA.
*Note: Students who do not meet the above criteria are encouraged to join the MESA Club. MESAÂ Club Members enjoy many of the same privileges as MESA Scholars. For more information, please contact Mr. James Sanders at jsanders@atlm.edu.
Application Process
Interested students are encouraged to submit a MESA application. Please click the icon below for an application. Submit completed applications with unofficial transcripts to the MESA Program. Applications are accepted on a continual basis, however, appointments are made for start time during the fall semester.
