ADMISSIONS

Thank you for your interest in continuing your education at Atlanta Metropolitan State College where students Believe, Begin and Become. AMSC provides for its students a unique campus atmosphere with a wide range of academic programs. The programs and services offered by the College are high in quality and comprehensive. Bachelor's, Associate of Science, Associate of Arts, and certificate programs are available. High School students can gain college credit through the Dual Enrollment Program.

REGISTRAR

The Registrar's Office, located in Room 115 of the Library/Administration Building, is in charge of keeping records for all students who have been admitted to the College. The office staff is committed to providing students, faculty and the staff with efficient and customer-oriented administrative support for registration, the maintenance of student records and academic history, degree audit and completion, graduation, transfer evaluations (new, current and former students), academic renewal approval, and other related tasks.

ADVISEMENT

Academic advisors will meet with students to discussacademic and career plans based on their guided pathway program of study/major. Students may schedule an appointment with their academic advisor anytime during the semester. Dates for academic advising will be announced on public monitors in each building on campus, via student email, and in the offical academic calendar. Meeting with an academic advisor will help by:

- Defining and clarifying academic and career goals
- Selecting an appropriate program of study/major
- Identifying academic support systems
- Monitoring academic status and performance
- Selecting courses that lead to graduation
