The use of Information Technology is an integral part of your Trailbazer faculty / staff position at Atlanta Metropolitan State College. The following steps will help you meet the information technology requirements of the College.
AMSC Faculty / Staff Email
Official Campus Communications
Atlanta Metropolitan State College will send all electronic communications to your AMSC Faculty / Staff email account. You can sign-in to your employee email account using your complete AMSC email address and AMSC email password.

AMSC Systems Authentication
Multifactor Authentication (MFA) Standard
All Atlanta Metropolitan State College employees are required to complete their Multifactor Authentication (MFA) setup. MFA is a security system standard that requires more than one method of authentication to verify a user's identity to successfully login.

AMSC Cybersecurity Training
Cybersecurity Training Standard
All Atlanta Metropolitan State College employees are required to complete mandatory cybersecurity training. AMSC cybersecurity training occurs during employee hiring (onboarding), twice each fiscal year, and as required.

AMSC Wireless Access
Wireless Services
Atlanta Metropolitan State College employees may access campus wide wireless services using the Service Set Identifier (SSID) AMSC. You can sign-in to AMSC wireless using your employee email account user name and AMSC email password.

AMSC faculty utilize the Faculty Portal to enter student grades, see class roster, etc.

Faculty Portal DegreeWorks
AMSC faculty utilize the DegreeWorks academic advising tool. DegreeWorks is a computerized degree audit program and academic advising tool designed to assist advisors in reviewing student's program progress. DegreeWorks re-organizes student transcripts chronologically and categorically, easily identifying courses students have completed and what courses students still need in order to fulfill their program requirements. DegreeWorks also assists faculty to:
- Determine what requirements students need to fulfill in order to complete their degree;
- View student course grades, cumulative grade-point average (GPA), and major average;
- Determine which courses students have taken or transferred, and which ones count as electives;
-View transfer credits, waivers, and exemptions applied toward student's program requirements;
- See how coursework could be applied toward another major;
- Confirm academic standing;
- Estimate how many semesters it will take to graduate;
- Learn the prerequisites and co-requisites for courses by clicking on the course numbers.

University System of Georgia (USG) System Wide Faculty / Staff (OneUSG Connect) Portal
Faculty and Staff Benefits Portal
AMSC Employees use the USG System Wide Faculty / Staff Portal (OneUSG Connect) to record and submit time, access, review and update personal information including direct deposit, pay checks and benefits anytime, anywhere - by computer, tablet, or a smartphone.
You can sign-in to the USG OneConnect Portal using your Single Sign On (SSO) faculty/staff email account user name and AMSC email password.

GeorgiaFIRST (PeopleSoft) Financials Portal
GeorgiaFirst Financials Portal
The GeorgiaFIRST PeopleSoft Financials application model is a fully integrated, Oracle-based technology suite of software applications managing the financial data that meet BOR, USG, and AMSC institutional needs for information used in decision-making. The single application model and a consolidated database containing the data for all institutions are centrally hosted at ITS, and ITS distributes all software upgrades and releases.
