We offer you an education that addresses these essential questions:

At AMSC you can major in a Business or Technology focus area and study courses in Accounting, Computer Programming, Economics, Financial Technology and Marketing.

Mission Statement

The School of Business and Information Technology is committed to high standards of academic excellence by offering transfer, career and certificate programs in business and technology, as well as, professional services and activities that meet the diverse needs of the diverse population, firms and stakeholders served in metropolitan Atlanta.

In accordance with the overall mission of the college, the BIT offers three types of degree-granting business programs:

  • Business and technology related transfer programs for students intending to pursue the baccalaureate degree in business field.
  • Business and technology related career programs for students seeking academic preparation for employment.
  • Business and technology related cooperative programs to complement vocational/technical certification in a business or computer field.

The instructional and learning activities, extra-curricular activities, and support services are especially designed to develop in students a general business knowledge that is both globally and technologically relevant. The activities and services also place emphasis on the development of critical thinking, communications, and computer and information literacy skills. In addition to the academic degree programs and services, BIT also works in conjunction with other units of the college to provide services and programs for the college community, as well as for business and industry. The Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE) is a special program of the Business and Information Technology providing community forums, professional services and programs to businesses and residents in metropolitan Atlanta. The CFE provides a wide range of courses, workshops, and services to meet the needs of the business sector, including: (1) writing business plans, (2) establishing sound fiscal practices, (3) obtaining business licensing and completing IRS documents, (4) acquiring bank loans, (5) understanding business accounting, (6) launching effective business marketing and public relations, and (6) starting profit and nonprofit businesses.

The Associate of Science in Business Administration Program is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
