  • The USG New HR/Payroll Shared Services

Summer 2008, The Board of Regents mandated that the University System of Georgia share HR/Payroll services in an effort to reduce cost and maximize personnel services. The BOR determined that through consolidating human resources and payroll, the USG will increase its efficiency and service delivery. ADP National Account Service will manage the USG shared services, which will improve the timeliness, quality, and consistency of information, functionality, and services to all USG employees. This project is an outcome of the USG strategic goal six, which calls for best-in-class efficiencies for administrative support functions.

Over the past several months, Atlanta Metropolitan College has been preparing for the transition to the USG shared services system. The Fiscal Affairs and Human Resources offices have undergone intense training to transition AMC into the new HR/Payroll shared services system. Beginning August 2009, AMC will go live with the new USG shared services, which will replace the existing PeopleSoft System and other payroll and human resource functions. All AMC employees are required to register with ADP National Account Services to setup an account so that the payroll process and HR services will be utilized by all AMC employees by August 2009.

AMC will provide several training sessions for employees to register, receive an ADP ID, and gain experience in utilizing the full range of shared services. Please review the information at the following links for detailed procedures of the new HR/Payroll shared services.
