Distance Education Student Services General Services Online students have privileges to the same services as students who take courses on campus. An abbreviated list of the primary services to online students is provided in the column to the right. Many of these services, including: registration, admissions, and financial aid are available in full access online. Services such as ordering transcripts may be completed from the Registrar's Office Website. Electronic journals and a comprehensive range of other course resounces are available from GALILEO, the University System of Georgia's primary online journal database, for which a student password may be obtained from the AMC Library online login screen. All online students are assigned an account with password access to the Banner Database System, which provides access to final course grades, advisor information, degree audits, registration, and various advisement tools. E-mail and GeorgiaVIEW Vista An e-mail account is created for each currently registered online student. The email login information my be obtained from the Office of Management Information System. Students are expected to utilize and regularly check their assigned AMC email for important College messages, which will periodically require student responses. The computer software (or platform) used to implement and manage online classes is called GeorgiaVIEW Vista. Each online students will be provided a login account for GeorgiaVIEW Vista access. Online courses will be taught inside the GeorgiaVIEW Vista account. All course material and resources, including syllabi, grades, quizzes, exams, and learning resources will be provided for each course and posted inside the GeorgiaVIEW Vista accounts. Student Activities Online students have full access to all on-campus events that they choose to participate, including: sporting activites, weight/fitness rooms, game rooms, club/organizations and special events. A picture ID will be provided to online students and will be required to participate in many on-campus activities.
