Principles of Accrediation

 

This document contains the new SACS accrediting standards. The new SACS requirements include
12 Core Requirements, 53 Comprehensive Standards, 8 Federal Requirements and 2 Reports (the Compliance Certification and the Quality Enhancement Plan, QEP). These reports are provided below.

 

Compliance Certification

This document is submitted by an institution approx. 15 month prior to reaffirmation. Institutions have to judge whether or not they are in compliance with the core requirements, comprehensive standards, and federal requirments mentioned above.

 
QEP
An institutional plan that addresses the single most pressing issue that contributes to institutional improvement. The institutional plan must be centered around student learning outcomes.
Demonstrates that plan is part of ongoing planning and evaluation process

a significant modification or expansion of the nature and scope of an accredited institution.
