The AMC Bookstore is located on the first floor of the Student Center and is open as follows:
Monday - Tuesday
8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday - Thursday
8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Friday
8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
The Bookstore offers new and used textbooks, supplies, and related items for the various courses of study. Official AMC merchandise and gifts are also available.
The AMC Bookstore accepts personal checks, MasterCard©, Visa©, Discover©, Financial Aid Vouchers and all other scholarships approved by the Business Office with picture ID. When using a credit card or personal check, it should be in the name of the person using the card or check. Otherwise, verification of the cardholder will be made.
Full refunds for most textbooks are given within six (6) days of the beginning of each semester, provided:
• student has proof of purchase (receipt)
• textbook is in new (MINT) condition
• student presents proper I.D.
• prepackaged textbooks from the publisher are in original wrapping Textbooks returned prior to the sixth day that are not in new (MINT) condition will be refunded at current used book price. After the sixth day, students are encouraged to sell their books at the Textbook Buyback period.
Note: Arrangements will be considered by the Bookstore Manager for refunds with withdrawal from classes for emergency reasons after the posted return date.
In an effort to keep textbook costs down, the Bookstore has initiated a used book policy. The Bookstore will attempt to stock used books for most titles. As a service to students, the Bookstore will schedule a book buyback at the end of each semester, where students may resell their textbooks for cash. Be sure to keep your textbooks in the best condition possible; and bring all parts associated with the textbook including CDs' or disks' for the best price. The best national wholesale price will be given for books that are not going to be used on our campus or are overstocked. A receipt is not needed for book buyback. Atlanta Metropolitan College cannot guarantee the buyback of any book at any time.
Students may reserve textbooks by phone or by completing the required form and returning it to the Bookstore.
Note: Proper student ID is required when picking up books.
