Atlanta Metropolitan College boasts one of the top athletic programs at the two-year collegiate level. We offer an outstanding men's and women's program, as well as a spirited and highly recognized cheerleading squad and dance team.
It was 1992 when the riveting, Red-Eyed Panthers first played in front of their home crowd in Atlanta Metropolitan College’s then new 3,500-seat, state-of-the-art gymnasium. From the onset, the men’s team dominated the court, with a 23-9 record their first season. They finished second in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 17 Conference that year and made an impressive showing each year thereafter.
