Biography

James B. Dowdell, Ed.D., has more than 30 years of classroom experience in teaching a wide range of mathematics courses at every level, from junior high, high school, and college; from arithmetic through precalculus. He has attended and successfully completed numerous in service workshops and institutes related to the teaching of mathematics. He has helped develop and conduct numerous remediation, career orientation, teacher certification, and post-option programs. Currently, he is an instructor of Intermediate and College Algebra courses at AMSC. He is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM).
